ARC Zero Chairman has been selected to be part of the EU Soil Mission Board’s funded project “Benchmark,” led by Professor Rachel Creamer of Wageningen University and Research, Soil Health Benchmarks.
ARC Zero has also been selected and agreed to become one of the thirteen farms that make up the Global Lighthouse Farm Network,
Global Network of Lighthouse Farms (lighthousefarmnetwork.com), led by Professor Rogier Schulte of Wageningen University and Research
At the annual Benchmark Project workshop, hosted in Coimbra, ARC Zero Chairman got the opportunity to catch up with the lighthouse farmers from Austria, The Netherlands and Spain, as will have been given a very thorough update of the considerable success of the first year of delivering the Benchmarks Soil Project.
Common to all of us was understanding how could we find a cost effective selection of metrics and measurements that could enhance our knowledge on soil health and allow us to measure and accelerate our journey to get all soils in the EU to be of good health by 2050.
On behalf of ARC Zero, John would like to thank both Wageningen University and Research teams for investing their faith in ARC Zero and its chairman John Gilliland
