BGI, Food4Sustainability, and the Idanha-a-Nova City Hall organize annually the i-Danha Food Lab Event. The main goal of this initiative is to bring together various agri-food stakeholders who are committed to accelerating the revolution in food systems to make them more sustainable and support our societies and the planet. The event is held right after the world's biggest tech conference, the Web Summit and it provides an unique opportunity for agri-food innovation experts to explore the uniqueness of Idanha-a-Nova.
ARC Zero’s Chairman, John Gilliland, was invited to give a key note address on the ARC Zero’s role in peer to peer learning which resulted in driving and improving farm practices in N. Ireland.
As a participant, John was enjoyed a collection of interactive sessions and networking opportunities with different stakeholders in what was a very unique and historic environment. While getting updated on the most recent national and international R&D&I projects, John enjoy the region, its extraordinary hospitality with an unique journey in the green train from Lisbon and local historic walks.
On behalf of ARC Zero, John wants to thank the organisers for an excellent event and for the privilege of being able to share some of ARC Zero’s experiences and learn from similar projects in Portugal.
